Who we are
Born from a collaboration between two Swiss and South African entrepreneurs, Pristem S.A., based in Switzerland, was originally created in 2018 with the belief that equitable access to healthcare is a basic human right. Pristem’s mission is to decrease the burden of diseases by deploying cost-effective, extremely reliable, and innovative radiology solutions in South Africa.
With the creation of Open Diagnostics centers, Pristem is addressing a global need by enabling easy and affordable access to quality radiology services to the underserved communities. Open Diagnostics centers use a uniquely robust and universal Xray system developed by Pristem. Not affected by loadshedding, Pristem Xray system guarantees continuous operations in Open Diagnostics centers.
