On July 18, 2024, Open Diagnostics proudly commemorated Mandela Day by honouring the legacy of Nelson Mandela through acts of service and community upliftment. Partnering with Phutaditjaba Care of the Aged and Disabled in Alexandra Township, Johannesburg, founded by the esteemed philanthropist and community leader, Linda Twala.
Mandela Day serves as a poignant reminder for us all to unite in service and compassion, reflecting the values championed by Mandela himself.
We at Open Diagnostics were privileged to provide food hampers, blankets, and clothing to around 1000 beloved members of our community, including our grannies, mkhulus, and neighbours, especially those who have lost their homes from the fires. This initiative goes beyond mere sustenance; it is a heartfelt demonstration of compassion, respect and solidarity with those who have dedicated so much to our community.
Our centre staff in both Alexandra and Soweto were also serving tea and scones to the patients and community members, including SASSA beneficiaries.
Open Diagnostics offers affordable quality basic radiology services to the communities of Alexandra and Soweto townships and their surrounding areas.
